Innovation and entrepreneurship are part of Chubby Apps' DNA. That's why, when TKNIKA invited us to participate as mentors in their Entrepreneurship Immersion Days, we didn't hesitate for a second to do our bit for the Basque entrepreneurial ecosystem.
During two intense days in Donostia, we had the privilege of accompanying 16 teams of vocational training students from all over Euskadi on their entrepreneurial journey. On the first day, in the emblematic Ekinn building, we shared our experience in the creation and development of technological products, from our unique perspective as a boutique studio specializing in startups.
On the second day, at The Social Hub Donostia, we experienced unique moments. Among them, the inspiring talk by Pau Echaniz, an Olympic medalist in canoeing at just 23 years old and an entrepreneur in the fashion world. His story reminded us that excellence and innovation know no boundaries or age.
As part of the jury, we had the honor of evaluating projects that left us speechless with their innovation and vision of the future. The quality of the proposals confirms that entrepreneurial talent in Euskadi is more alive than ever. Selecting only two winners was a tremendously difficult task, given the extraordinary quality of all the participants.
The day culminated with exceptional catering from the AMA Tolosa restaurant, who also shared their fascinating entrepreneurial story. A perfect metaphor for how innovation can transform any sector, from technology to gastronomy.
We want to thank TKNIKA for the trust placed in Chubby Apps to mentor the next generation of entrepreneurs. Seeing the talent and passion of these young people reassures us in our mission to make technology something more human and relevant.
To all the participating teams: your future is bright. Keep innovating, keep dreaming, keep building. Euskadi's entrepreneurial ecosystem is in the best hands.

Before you ask
Are these apps yours or your clients'?
Both. Cori and FitWoody are ours, which is why we know what it takes to sustain a product for years and not just launch it. The rest are commissions, with their own client and brand.
Almost everything shown here is about health. What if mine isn't?
Healthcare is where we have published the most, but not the only thing we do. There are also hospitality, sports, and city projects. The sector changes, not the way of working.
What part do you do?
Brand, product and development. We design the identity, the app and the website, and then we program them. iOS, Android and web.
What happens when the app is already live?
Now comes the interesting part. FitWoody has been in the App Store since 2023, and in 2025 we completely rebuilt it. Launching is just the beginning, not the final delivery.
Seeing this, it looks like a large studio. How many of you are there?
Two. That's why you always talk to the person doing the work, and that's why we say no often.
Where do you start?
