At Chubby Apps, we believe that technology comes to life through design. It is the bridge that connects innovation with people, transforming lines of code into meaningful experiences. This vision was what we took to the Creativity is Female festival, where our Design Lead, Patricia Bedoya, participated in a fundamental conversation about the role of women in contemporary design.
The festival, organized by Avocado Studio and DIGA, has consolidated itself as an essential meeting point to discuss the challenges and opportunities we face in the design sector. The round table brought together prominent voices from different creative fields: Angélica Barco from ANG-Studio, Victoria Gabaldón from MaMagazine, Izaskun Rama from EmakumeEkin, and Alazne Ustaran from Avocado, each contributing a unique perspective from their experience.
During the session, the barriers that still persist for women in the design sector were addressed. From representation in leadership positions to the stereotypes that continue to influence decision-making, the conversation delved into realities that need to be made visible in order to be transformed.
However, the dialogue did not focus solely on obstacles. We also explored emerging opportunities and how diversity in design is not only a matter of equity, but an invaluable source of innovation. When different perspectives come together in the creative process, the results are richer, more inclusive, and more relevant to society as a whole.
At Chubby Apps, these dialogues reinforce our commitment to a more diverse and inclusive design. Since our founding in 2020, we have worked to renew the way technology is seen and experienced. We believe that design has the power to make technology more human, more accessible, and more meaningful for everyone.
Participating in Creativity is Female is not just another event on our calendar. It is a manifestation of our values and our vision for the future. A future where design and technology are truly diverse spaces, where all voices count and where innovation is born from a multiplicity of perspectives.
We are deeply grateful to Avocado Studio and DIGA for creating these much-needed spaces, and to all the speakers for sharing their experiences and visions. These dialogues are seeds of change that, we are sure, will bear fruit in the form of a more equitable and enriching sector.

Before you ask

Are we a fit?
If you've made it this far, something must have resonated with you. Tell us what you want to build, and we'll tell you frankly if we are the right studio for you.
