Cori, the digital assistant that helps people with diabetes regain control of their pathology, has been selected to participate in the Apple Entrepreneur Camp organized by the Cupertino-based company.
The program, which kicks off this week, aims to help founding teams and their startups build the next generation of cutting-edge apps. The program is designed to offer developers the opportunity to strengthen their professional experience by mastering new technical skills, critically examining user experience, and more. To this end, Cori will attend hands-on technology labs and receive one-on-one coding guidance from Apple engineers and experts, in addition to mentorship, inspiration, and analysis from prominent Apple executives. All with the goal of significantly accelerating the development of the project.
After eight weeks of work, the Apple Entrepreneur Camp concludes with a Demo Day in which all of Cori's progress will be presented to Apple leaders.
"Although it doesn't grab all the headlines, the World Health Organization considers diabetes to be the true pandemic of the 21st century," says Asier G. Morato, co-founder and CTO of Cori. According to data from the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), 14.8% of the Spanish population has diabetes, a number that has grown by 42% since 2019. "When I debuted with diabetes at 14, I experienced firsthand how difficult it is to gain control of a chronic illness like diabetes, where treatment can vary from moment to moment," says Asier G. Morato. "Only 55% of Spaniards with diabetes claim to have good control of their disease. That's why we created Cori."
Cori is a digital assistant, developed in Vitoria-Gasteiz, that can be installed for free on your phone. It collects all the variables that affect glucose (food, exercise, medication, mood) and analyzes them together to see the impact they have on your body. Thanks to this information and with the help of Machine Learning models, it is able to create a fully customized exercise and diet plan for the patient. This, together with its gamification system, is able to improve adherence to treatment and thus prevent future medical complications.
Selection for the Apple Entrepreneur Camp is the latest achievement in a year full of accolades. Cori was the winning project of Innomakers4Health 2021 organized by Pfizer and The Cube. This award allowed them to inaugurate the Pfizer Innovation Lab in Spain, where they have been able to design and validate their proposal. In addition, it has been recognized with the Best Idea Award by Álava Emprende and received the Inizia Uniemprendedor 2021 Award, granted by the UPV/EHU.

The project is being developed in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain) by Chubby Apps and is supported by Apple, Pfizer, The Cube, the European Union (NextGenerationEU), and BIC Araba.

Are these apps yours or your clients'?
Both. Cori and FitWoody are ours, which is why we know what it takes to sustain a product for years and not just launch it. The rest are commissions, with their own client and brand.
Almost everything shown here is about health. What if mine isn't?
Healthcare is where we have published the most, but not the only thing we do. There are also hospitality, sports, and city projects. The sector changes, not the way of working.
What part do you do?
Brand, product and development. We design the identity, the app and the website, and then we program them. iOS, Android and web.
What happens when the app is already live?
Now comes the interesting part. FitWoody has been in the App Store since 2023, and in 2025 we completely rebuilt it. Launching is just the beginning, not the final delivery.
Seeing this, it looks like a large studio. How many of you are there?
